Finally got to watch Man of Steel! From the get go I loved the more darker feel they brought to the Superman line of movies. I never really liked the goody two shoes approach they take on him. He is one of those characters that has a dilemma he has to face and they portrayed it exceptionally well. From when he was young and dealing with trying to understand his powers to dealing with bullies. His search to find out where he came from and how he met Lois was different but at least they didn't portray her like a fool and more of a real journalist figuring out who he was.
The Krypton portion was pretty bad ass but sort of reminded me of Star Wars for some reason. The battle scenes were super CGI but I like how they didn't dumb it down. If there ever was a super hero/super villian battle I'm pretty sure a city would be destroyed to the extent that it did in this flick. The premise of all the kryptonians being put in his cells at birth was a odd take and gave me mixed feelings but the end was up expecting to me and I will not ruin it since I already said to much. I recommend this movie to any fans of Superman and I can't wait till the Superman / Batman Movie.
