Took me a while to even get on my computer. I remember I used to be on it everyday. Whether it was to create zines or book, Writing new music, or just mindlessly searching the web. When I started this blog I was posting everyday then slowly stopped putting up post due to everyday life. Boredom, Depression, Hating my job and not wanting to reflect negativity onto something I enjoy doing. Starting a new job next week so hopefully I have a more positive outlook on things in the near future.

One thing that I was kind of annoyed at but then my mind quickly changed was I was watching a friend filming Vanilla Ice doing a few of his songs at a recent concert. Everyone in the audience was filming it with their phones. I am one that used to tote around a video camera and film bands back in the day but I never saw anything like this before. It was like no one was actually watching the show with their own two eyes they were looking at it through a little screen as if they were watching it at home on you tube. It made me sick to my stomach. A few weeks later my mind changed when I seen the videos of Faith No More performing two new songs in Europe. Yes the coin did flip and my mind changed saying without technology I would have never seen this so fast. In the 90's I would have probably been scouring places that sold bootleg CDs or VHS cassettes just too hear these songs and paid a hefty price. Instant gratification wins out in this case.

My friends in Burlap to Cashmere are trying to raise money to put out a new album. You can check out their video here http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/burlaptocashmere
Hello Friends!
When Burlap To Cashmere reunited in 2011, we didn’t know what to expect. Would people still care about what we were doing after a decade hiatus? Would our music still connect with fans? Yet, we were overwhelmed by your response. Even when our record label folded just weeks after our second album released, we managed to find our way as an independent artist because you, the fans, showered us with your love and support going on three solid years. Now here we are in 2014 and the momentum keeps building. We’ve released our EP, “From the Vault,” played a reunion show with the original band lineup, and today we’re embarking on our first ever Reunion Tour. It was only natural that this would lead to… —:drum roll:— A NEW BURLAP TO CASHMERE RECORD!!! That’s right, we are heading to the studio to record all new songs for our third full-length studio album! You can stop pinching yourself: this is really happening. But in order to make this album a reality, we need YOU. We want this to be more than simply making a record. We want it to be an interactive experience. Pledgers will get behind-the-scenes studio updates, maybe a sneak peak into a new song or two along the way, and…. That’s where we want to hear from YOU. What kind of rewards would YOU like us to offer? What kind of updates would YOU like us to give on our PledgeMusic page? Seriously, get creative. Do you have questions you would like us to answer? An item you would like us to offer? A song you would like us to play? Let’s have some fun with this! We couldn’t be more excited to get this album rolling. Tell all of your friends and keep in touch on the comments page. We can’t wait to share this new material with you!
 Sincerely, B2C
