When I first heard there was going to be a Pokemon app that was virtual reality I was pretty damn excited. I played most of the original games for the gameboy, gameboy advanced, up to the 3ds. Had great teams and built them up to the highest level. I definitely had a lot of time on my hands. Especially when I had down time during parties I didn't have to run lights and video (my old job as a lighting/video technician). Any how I downloaded the app the day it came out. Got myself a squirtle.... But didn't go out for the suggested walk. I then went to sleep and tried going on later that evening but it wasn't working. Kind of annoyed me. Restarted my phone. Worked when I was out and about. Caught a bunch and I felt like I was reliving my youth. Of course the game kept crashing. I gave up for the night. The next day I was doing some morning drinking and I was like ohh the games working time to go for a walk. Staggering around my neighborhood I seen at least 30 people playing. Realized the church down the block from me was a gym. That the lure modules that are place at poke stops was drawing people to them like moths to a flame. So yes I was enjoying this game thoroughly. Then of course the next day server problem after server problem. I start worrying about my data getting gobbled up. I have to constantly log back in to it not working correctly. Meanwhile my girlfriend who never played the original game and never watched the cartoon or movies is catching them every two seconds and I'm seeing other people posting pics every few minutes on Facebook or Instagram. I do have a older phone which I have a feeling is the problem because a friend of mine was experiencing the same problem and he has a older model. So R.I.P. To my Pokemon Go account. You were fun for a few days but I don't have the time and patience that I used to. Thanks for the few but sweet memories. Especially my drunken Pokemon adventure where I got to catch them at subway buying a sandwich and encountered many a oddity around Lebanon,NH.
