It was just one of those mornings that restores my faith in people. Even if it was in the form of some food. Oh yes it was tasty. A Cream Cheese and sweet sausage stuffed JalapeƱo and also a mini baked apple treat. It just gave me that little boost of happiness and adrenaline right before I got out of work. So this past week I've been footing it down the long ass hill from work to the bus stop and today was a delight. It was so foggy when I left the building and the air was so crisp. It just felt like a fantastic fall morning. This is the season I wait for every year because it's truly Hoodie weather. The best part of the walk for me is popping in my ear buds and listening to some tunes and zoning out the world even though halfway down the hill I seen this chinese dude doing some odd stretching on top of a tree stump then moments later he flew right by me like he was The Flash. Sorry I got off the subject but The first album I listened to was Mariachi El Bronx second CD release (II)
A great album. I really hope the Bronx keeps doing this side project because both albums are amazing and the covers they do are fun and creative.
When I reached the bottom of the hill and waited for the bus I put on a album by The Caring Babies "The Gold Singer's Companion Forgets" Which is has probably the catchiest songs that will enter your ears. I think everyone should download this album since the CD is very scarce. By the way my favorite track is "Silent Running" Let me backtrack to the middle of the night while at work I was thinking about this dude I contacted Jude Noel who does a zine and runs a blog called Half-Gifts. When I was reading his profile I noticed he was only fifteen. Man I wish I wrote this good at that age. Shit man I wish I could write that good now. What I've noticed is the blog is pretty much a bunch of music reviews of some pretty damn good music. I had to support this guy and went over to his Merch Page and picked up his zines. It just brought me back to my youth and still makes me happy that young people are still doing zines instead of just digital things. Well I gotta get some sleep. I am going to the shelter today and look at kittens. Don't be surprised when all of a sudden I post a pic of one within the next few days.
