Tonight I got to hang out with my friends Joe and Katie who I haven't seen in a few months. We tried one tasty BBQ place called Hometown Bar B Que nestled near the water in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn. It had a rustic home like quality vibe to it. Big bar, live music, friendly staff and incredible food. Even though after I ordered the food and finished it I realized I had about one pound of food sitting in my stomach. Yes I'm glutinous. I had a 1/4 pound of jerk chicken. 1/4 pound of brisket. 1 cheddar jalapeño sausage link. Then stupid me also ordered a small side of their Backyard potato salad like all that meat wasn't enough. The brisket was my favorite because it just melted in my mouth. A bunch of sauces to dip the BBQ in was enhancing the favors of the various meats on my tray. We got complimentary shots of apple bourbon which was nice and smooth to finish off our meals. Thank God I don't work a block from this fine establishment anymore because I think I would've been taking home food from there most nights. If you're around the area give it a taste.
