It was a night of stories that brought more of a insight about Edgar Oliver's youth. Stories of his Mom and sister Helen. How they grew up as a very close family unit that had many adventures on the road. How his mothers fears and paranoia made people think of them in a odd way. I love when he told the story of the Ivy that grew around his house and then a man put in their heads that it was filled with scorpions making them afraid of something that they once loved and cherished. His last story made me get a few chuckles in when he told a story of how him in his sister would sneak out at night and the mother would chase them down in the car almost as if she was going to run them over. The stories ended with him and sister eventually leaving their mother and making lives for themselves and as for their mother she seemed to moved on also and what it sounded like got somewhat of her life together. I was ecstatic when I seen they had a DVD of his for sale also some of his poetry books that were published. All and all it was a night that was worth the wait and didn't disappoint.
